On Thursday, November 9, “A State of Matter” opened at the Volcom Garden in Austin, Texas featuring work by Arik Roper, John Baizley, Jacob Bannon, and myself. I am very fortunate that I helped bring this exhibition together with the help of Michael Sieben, the gallery curator.I have been inspired by Arik, John and Jake for years, and when the opportunity arose to have a group exhibition together, I had to make sure it came to be.Although our work is different and comes from a multitude of backgrounds and disciplines, it has a familiar thread running through it.
